Re: What are the user interface problems?
Multi monitor support.
Map on one monitor.
Player info etc on another.
Cockpit (main play screen) on another (in the middle).
I'd love that.

Awesome! I used to love exploring in X2 with those, looking at ships in the distance and ID'ing them as possible targets or foe's. Love it

Split Balaur with heavy Torpedo's. Cheap and devastating for attacking enemy capitals and quick to deploy being S class.
As the X2 manual stated, in the X Universe, if 2 will do the job. Take 10.

(Wishing for race-specific battleships to rival the Asgard and Erlking; Xenon, Khaak and Yaki carriers/capitals; light carriers and frigates for all; and world peace) [last one optional] The Yaki did field a battleship and also a destroyer in the battle for the gateway sector (Echo Seven Two). Both...

So the simple, one feature I have always wanted is a group/folder feature... not like a fleet that you can give orders too, but a collection of items you can put in its own group/folder within the UI list. When I have a game with 1000+ ships the UI becomes very unwieldy... A simple folder system so...

Re: Building a closed Player economy
I actually use a similar approach in vanilla in Savage Spur I. It's interresting and logistic manage to keep up without using hundred of ships. Yeah, Savage Spur 1 has got everything (except water). This means I can block off Savage Spur 2 and my traders can do their thing without fear of attack. I...

Re: Building a closed Player economy
I mostly do a 1 product per station approach and spam a lot of stations. Instead of fussing over ratios I just add more modules to the stations that seem to be in short supply. This approach is quite scalable because each station can be expanded in parallel, allowing the production for many differe...

Re: Building a closed Player economy
Yeah its definitely a fun way to "learn" a great deal about the economy. Quite looking forward to that time when my Battleship/Carrier moves off the line for the first time. Might be close to end game then. Star Wars mod looks interesting. I think that's the one I would choose as a play through next...

Re: Building a closed Player economy
Doing this. Chose Savage Spur 1 as I have just finished clearing it of Xenon and the Yaki are my buddies (obvs). Just finishing off the Tier 2 factories (8 iirc) after completing the Tier 1's and the "Mining Hub" station. Its taken me two days of playing so far to get to this point and the Universe ...

Re: Is it just me or...
Update. Works flawlessly with 6 Destroyers. I upped this to 10, 2 Behemoths on "Attack" like the others and 2 more on Intercept. I then got the reluctance to fire main guns, spending ages getting into position and general messing around doing anything, but shooting the station. Need to do more testi...

Oh, you're OOS, I'm taking about pure In-Sector stuff - I like to watch the battles myself. OK, tried it last night. 6 Odysseus Sentinels with Plasma turrets and main batteries. This is my "station killer" fleet. Teleported to the bridge of the fleet leader. Ordered to attack a station (Xenon defen...

I'd like to be able to "tow" stations to a new location, which would also bring a solution to that South issue. But would probably bring a hundred more issues.

Re: What are the first things you do when starting a new game?
In X2, we (a few of us) started games with everyone set to enemy (after the first play throughs were done). That was indeed an interesting approach and made the early game challenging. Also played without being able to restore. So game over, was indeed, game over. Obviously you can restore when you ...

Re: Fleet blueprints possible?
Question: If considering the "build replacements" option, should this be a feature available at ANY Shipyard / Wharf the player has access to? Or do you think it should be exclusively available ONLY at a player owned ship production facility? I don't mind either way but, speaking personally, I'd be...

Re: Is it just me or...
I'm surprised, many of us are experiencing quite serious issues with the Attack command vs. stations. To be clear, I've been exclusively attacking Xenon stations (Defence Platforms, Solar Power and Shipyard / Wharfs) and my Destroyer / Battleship fleets are ineffective. They stop way out of range c...

Re: Is it just me or...
Attack is plain broken, Coordinated Attack is better, but still pretty awful. This compromised the late-game for me, as I simply couldn't order my uber murder fleets to attack a station, I had to manually position them. Attack works fine for me. I have a fleet of Destroyers armed with Plasma main b...
