X3 interface

Is there any way to get rid of all those icons floating around the screen at any given moment? The indicators for ships, stations and all that stuff. I find it very annoying, especially coming from X2 which didn't show anything unless you selected it.

I know about the shift+H but that removes everything, and not what im looking for. Thanks

There are various HUD-light types of mods available in the S&M forum but there is no way to do what you want in vanilla, sorry.
